Use ruling and color with the series number
The manufacturer's No18 table lists separate references for blank, graph, dot and lined-with-margin versions, as well as different cover colors. The selected orange lined-with-margin reference is 18600. Goulet's retail code is RH-18600C. This distinction avoids treating a related wirebound, black-cover or differently ruled pad as the same purchase. The chosen seller's current public product data showed $13.00 for the selected orange lined pad when checked on November 4, 2026.
Know what one pad contains
The current product information lists 80 sheets, or 160 sides, with white 80-gram paper, a top staple binding and microperforation. Goulet describes 7 mm ruling with a red left margin, a coated cover and a firm backing. The 80-gram statement is a paper grammage description, not the net weight of the entire pad. It cannot be multiplied by 80 without accounting for the actual sheet area and other components to produce a verified shipping weight.
Keep quality language within its source
The seller describes the paper as acid-free and pH neutral. That is a sourced product claim, not an accelerated-aging experiment by Desk Sequence. It does not make every ink, adhesive, enclosure or storage environment archival. Likewise, paper weight and a premium stationery positioning do not prove that every ink will dry instantly or never show through. If a workflow depends on a specific ink and paper combination, obtain an appropriate sample or documented suitability information for that task.
Reorder the function rather than the photograph
A buyer wanting lined notes with a margin should confirm those two features in the selected variant, then check the binding and quantity. An orange pad in a generic image does not establish any of them. If sheets must later enter a strict document system, verify the torn-off usable size separately; the nominal A4 pad dimension does not settle that question. Keep the reference code on the order so a substitution can be evaluated before it changes the office's stationery standard.
Treat a substitution as a new specification
If the seller offers a graph-ruled orange No18 instead, the cover color and nominal size may remain familiar while the writing layout changes. A black lined version may preserve the ruling but change the maker code. Neither should overwrite the selected18600 record without an intentional decision. Ask whether the buyer values ruling, margin, cover color or exact reorder continuity, then evaluate the proposed change on those fields. The selected price belongs to the actual orange lined option observed, not automatically to every variant that shares the series name.
