Read the number in the maker's context

Pentel labels the selected BL77-A as a 0.7 mm metal-tip EnerGel pen. Its matching LR7 product page also uses a 0.7 mm designation. These are useful product-selection fields, especially when distinguishing neighboring tip options. This site has not measured a written line, and it does not turn the designation into a guarantee that every stroke on every sheet is exactly 0.7 mm wide. A product code is a more reliable reorder key than an assumed measured stroke.

Keep tip shape with the size

A metal-tip and a needle-tip listing can share a numeric size while using different model codes. The selected black metal-tip refill is LR7-A. A listing for LRN7-A should not be silently renamed to LR7-A because both contain a seven or appear in an EnerGel search result. Check the exact maker description and compatible model list for the proposed refill. This reference verifies the selected LR7 relationship; other combinations remain unreviewed unless their own documentation is recorded.

Ask what the writing task needs

A narrow form field, a signature line and informal meeting notes create different practical questions. If a particular stroke width is critical, a nominal tip label alone cannot answer the question for an actual ink-and-paper combination. The selected Rhodia pad's grammage and ruling do not establish the width or edge behavior of a pen line. No handwriting sample, feathering comparison or scanner-legibility test is presented here. Generic blank-pad imagery should not be interpreted as such a test.

Preserve an exact reorder description

For the selected pen, record BL77-A, black liquid-gel ink, retractable, 0.7 mm metal tip and one pen per offer. For a refill, record LR7-A and its own selling quantity. If a supplier proposes another size, tip or ink category, evaluate it as a change rather than a cosmetic equivalent. The local finder can retain the documented model relationship, but it cannot predict an individual's handwriting or certify a measured line width from the catalog number.

Do not use ruling as a line-width measurement

The selected pad's7mm ruling is spacing between printed rules, not a scale that verifies the pen's0.7mm stroke. A photograph can also resize a page and alter the apparent relationship between the two. Desk Sequence therefore does not calculate a handwriting capacity from those numbers or show a synthetic swatch as measured evidence. If a form has small entry boxes, review the actual required writing result on its intended stock. Keep that practical question distinct from the manufacturer's tip designation used for reordering the pen or its refill.
